Technically Awake

An anti-sleep alarm with a collection of one-handed mini-games for those middle of the night feeding sessions. A custom inactivity timer triggers an alarm when you stop interacting with your phone. The alarm starts quietly, then ramps up in volume so it reliably wakes you without startling the baby.

Alarm fires after this many seconds without any tap, swipe, or key.

Test the alarm

Tap once first to unlock audio on iOS. Full test escalates to a louder alarm-clock bell after 10s.

How the alarm actually works. Keep the screen on and this tab in front. If your phone sleeps, the alarm cannot wake you — browsers pause audio and timers when the screen is off. The app asks the OS to keep the screen on (Wake Lock), but battery saver and some phones override it.
Stop your phone from sleeping
  • iPhone: Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock → Never (turn it back when you're done).
  • Android: Settings → Display → Screen timeout → set to the maximum.
  • Plug in: Phones are far less aggressive about sleeping while charging. Android's developer option "Stay awake while charging" makes it permanent.
  • Disable Low Power / Battery Saver mode while feeding — it can release the Wake Lock.
