How the alarm actually works. Keep the screen on and this tab in front. If your phone sleeps, the alarm cannot wake you — browsers pause audio and timers when the screen is off. The app asks the OS to keep the screen on (Wake Lock), but battery saver and some phones override it.

- Android: Settings → Display → Screen timeout → set to the maximum.
- Plug in: Phones are far less aggressive about sleeping while charging. Android's developer option "Stay awake while charging" makes it permanent.
- Disable Low Power / Battery Saver mode while feeding — it can release the Wake Lock.
